Drumoak School is a rural school serving a large area bounded by the Aberdeen to Torphins road to the north and the River Dee to the south; Crathes to the west and Peterculter to the east. Some pupils are part of the farming and country community; others have parents in the oil industry, while some parents are employed locally.
